Opening hours over the festive period

The Cadcorp office will be closed 25th and 26th December 2018, and 1st January 2019.

Cadcorp Technical Support will be open:

Mon 24th December: 09.00 - 13.00

Thu 27th December: 09.00 - 17.30
Fri 28th December: 09.00 - 17.30
Mon 31st December: 09.00 - 17.30

Regular office hours will resume Wednesday 2nd January 2019.

All Cadcorp products come with Online Help. Our new, searchable, online user guides cover all that is new in Cadcorp SIS Desktop, Cadcorp GeognoSIS and Cadcorp SIS WebMap.

We also have a new Community, an area where Cadcorp users can share ideas and find answers to commonly asked questions on a range of Cadcorp SIS topics.

Fighting crime with GIS

Presenting at the recent GeoDATA event in London, we demonstrated various techniques for 'Fighting crime with GIS'. One method was Getis-Ord Gi* hotspot analysis. Unlike Kernel Density Estimation (KDE), Gi* can be applied to polygonal or linear features. In Cadcorp SIS 9, the output generated by point-based hotspot analysis can be geometric shapes such as hexagons or circles, which is in addition to the more traditional gridded form.
