Derby City Council web maps facilities

Prompted by an extensive refurbishment of their main offices and a move to hot desking and lockers, this council created a spatially enabled directory of facilities. The floor plan used for the background is a JPEG with the assets removed. The other assets are then split according to type. The largest dataset shows all of the teams, the adjustable desks and the hot desks. Multiple floors are shown as different background maps. Asset data is stored within the SQL database.

Cadcorp AVLS Tool updated to SIS 9

|
The Cadcorp AVLS Tool is an optional add-in to Cadcorp SIS Desktop that allows Emergency Services to snap their historic Automatic Vehicle Location System (AVLS) data to a road network. This means route finding operations can be performed with speeds based on the actual average speeds of an emergency services vehicle, rather than on assumptive speeds based on a road classification.

Cadcorp co-hosted a webinar with Ordnance Survey which explored a range of ways that Emergency Services can use routing based analysis with GIS and OS MasterMap Highways Network. Examples include multipoint routing for Ambulance Services and NHS Trusts, Isochrones for Police Analysts and route costs within Fire and Rescue Service risk models.
